A Rant About Ignorance Regarding Mothers

When I turned on MSNBC this morning and heard that Sarah Huckabee Sanders slammed Kamala Harris for not having a child by birth, my head almost exploded.

Then I spoke the words Tim Walz continues to speak — mind your damn business.

As if we don’t have enough “us/them” situations already at play, now we’re pitting mothers against mothers? Give me a break.

How much lower do we go? Condemning a woman for not having a birth child.

How much more discrimination and unkindness must we endure? Saying anyone who doesn’t have a child by birth has nothing to “keep her humble?”

How much more hate must be spewed?

Where does it end? Or doesn’t it, which is my fear.

What the hell are we doing here?

It’s enough. More than enough.

Something as sacred as motherhood is now fair game for crass words and insults. For marginalizing yet another group as if there aren’t enough groups experiencing the same.

What…there’s only one way to be anything now? Like there’s only one way to eat pizza…picking it up. What about those who use a knife and fork. Like me. Are we not pizza eaters too?

Here’s the thing…
